Turn the machine off and disconnect batteries.

Raise the tank cover.

Use the prop to hold the cover open.

Pull the float to remove it.

Remove the filter.

Using a T-20 torx socket wrench, remove the 3 screws from the inside cover. Note: You will need to prop the cover as you are removing the screw that holds the prop rod.

Pull to remove the inside cover.

Lay the inside cover down, the vac motor is now visible. Using a T-25 torx socket wrench, remove the 3 screws that attach the collar to the vac motor.

Pull up on the collar to free the collar and vac motor from the inside cover.

Using a small flat head screwdriver, loosen the 2 screws holding the black and red wires to the white connector. Pull gently to remove the red and black wires from the white connector. Note: As pictured, the black wire is on the left and the red wire is on the right. This is important when reconnecting these wires to the new motor later.

The collar and vac motor can now be placed on a flat work surface. Using a flat head screwdriver, loosen the 2 screws and gently pull the blue wires from the white connector.

Remove the blue wires.

Remove the black rubber guard from the bottom of the vac motor.

Using a small Phillips screwdriver, remove the screw that holds the white capacitor in place. If no capacitor, proceed to step 20. Note: Some models may not have a capacitor.

Pull the 2 wire connectors to remove the white capacitor.

Lift up on the collar to remove it from the vac motor. Reverse process to install a new vac motor.
